SHIRTLESS MEN AND SORRYS

At first:

WE ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRYYYYYYYY THAT WE HAVEN'T BEEN HERE UPDATING FOR YOU!!!!!!

We've been up lot,
we went to desucon and animecon and bakacon and....so much has happened...so many new costumes, ideas for tutorials and stuff- ANYWAY

and we've been abroad and stuff.

Animecon:

We had so much fun there!!

Two first days we spent dressed as kiryu twins



we made these costumes on short notice, but they look really nice for me :D

I just LOVE those wigs!!!

And since it was saturday night and there was a party @animecon we went there and we had a party time with SHIRTLESS MEN!!



And not to mention, we decided to take photo of every shirtless man!! and we found out that there was plenty of them!!¨

anywayzzzz back to business.

on sunday we we're dressed as our own characters!

we call them camouflage twins!!



even though we walked with 12cm heels for the whole day, I totally loved this costume!

...and it was great for manhunt-..I mean taking photo of each shirtless guy ;D

Oh well off to Desucon!!

Desucon was great as always!!

we were cosplaying as Sasuke and Suigetsu and we took part to cosplay show!!

well, Desucon has always been (and always will be) perfect con...so yeah.

it was perfect :D

WE have been in so many places and I'm awfully tired so enough for this time :D

I try to make some cool tutorials!!

I have plenty of ideas I want to share with you!!

Like tattoo tutorial and how to make wighead out of cereal box and shields and armors
out of plastic bags and oh so many things!!

ok. lets stick with simple hello.

At first, I'm sorry we haven't been updating for a while, but we have been quite busy since we have school to deal with, and as Momo mentioned I've been abroad lately ;O

Instead of telling you about my trip to Sweden (which was awesome) I'm updating some cool stuff here!!!

so, I have plenty of things to tell like cosplay and sewing and picnics and summer and..*momos deathly stare* ...Imma choose cosplay!!!

Ok, so as momo mentioned we used our Badou and Haine cosplays in tampere kuplii cosplay convention, whole convention was freaking awesome and we even had our great banana day!!!
We did some awesum photoshoot and here's some results!

Also,I had brand new experience as a make up-model! :O
Make-up they did was just original cosplay make up and I don't have pictures of it or anything BUT!! I got a great tutorial idea that I'm gonna make sooner or later ;)

TATTOO TUTORIAL!!!!

ofc not real tattoo but you know...fake tattoos.

I'm dying to try it.

Bananas do hate waving kids.

Due to our studies we have been awfully busy lately.
Anyway, we were at convention 9.-10.4 and it was quite fine. We were cosplaying Badou and Haine on a first day and on a second day we were hanging as Bananas.

Wearing a banana suit at con is like wearing a Britney Spears mask at Hollywood - Paparazzis everywhere. Of course it is nice that people love our costumes and to me, being popular is definitely not a problem. There is actually only 3 problems with these fruity cosplay suits.

1. Heat. The suit is VERY hot to wear and theres completely no places to get fresh air inside of those:DD that's why we had to take breaks once in a while:D (someone said to us that we "peel ourselves")

2. Nobody recognizes you. I mean, we all know bananas. But oh, how many friends we have frightened with those suits. Anyway, nowadays they all know that it's us!
3. The biggest, the most annoying and the horriblest problem. Waving kids. Yeah, i know. "How can you hate them momo, how can you?" At first is quite nice that silly moms with their kids wave to you. But it really gets annoying when you have waved back to 34 kids in one hour. rowr.

yeah that's it about bananas. I actually had something nice on my mind.

I'd really love to tell you more of our con but there is a problem called no pics. yeah, we did take many pictures. BUT since poke is in sweden it'll have to wait. i'm glad to have my own camera too (though it is not Poke's supercool Canon EOS 1000D with extra flash and stuff..) SO i thought of making some tutorial on my own but then I got lazy and my dad promised to take me out and order me a meal--> momo is sold.

Umm..so actually I could introduce Poke to you since she already did an update of me.
SO what should I tell you..well. Here is Poke:



She is doing her favorite thing - eating.
Her other passion is photographing, whenever we pass a photography store she stops and starts to drool those..things.

Poke is also very fond of her looks. She spends hours making her hair every mornig -.-'

I know she is gonna say this isn't true but: she is a sasukeholic. Poke has cosplayed Sasuke's two different forms in at least five conventions! She also used to have sasuke hair and she bought sasuke toy and key chain and...yeah.

You've got a perfect skin, with a Devils grin.

Hello there!


To my mind, skin is a very important piece of cosplaying. It makes any character look better - none of us have the perfect skin like an anime character!

Here are some instructions for YOUR skin to look perfect! There are three things you should know before we start:
1. You do not need to be a make-up artist of any kind, it is very easy when you have the right supplies.
2. Take your time, it can easily take 20 minutes to have a perfect skin!
3. Don't buy the cheapest foundation or eyeliner you can find, it only affects on your skin and eyes badly.

So, here are the supplies needed:


1. Foundation
2. A sponge for foundation
3. Cake powder
4. Concealer
5. Concealing brush
6. Powder brush
7. Mascara
8. Eyeliner (for mascara and eyeliner, prefer the waterproof ones!)
9. Moisturizing lotion




First use the moisturizing lotion all over your face. It makes the foundation and powder last longer and is better for your skin. (some powders make your skin very dry)



Next, apply concealer to your problem areas (such as pimples, moles, red spots etc..)
Blend it well with the concealing brush.



Then apply foundation all over your face (now, take your time, don't rush!)



finnish the skin with powder (use powder brush or a sponge)




It should be something like this:DDDDDDDDDd



Then apply the eyeliner. When cosplaying a guy, avoid having "a cat eye" lining since it probably is going to look too girly!!! Also use some mascara BUT JUST TO HAVE SOME COLOUR NOT LENGTH!!!

AND voila, you are ready:

Why is the rum gone?

AHOY!

At first ignore the title, I still have rum.

Also,ignore the sentence above, I'm not gonna talk about rum even though I wanted..Momo forbade me since this is cosplay blog :(((

Well, that's all about rum. Let's focus to cosplay!

I'm going to do...*rums*...the wig-styling tutorial!!!

OK, at first, the materials needed;




So, let's list it up!
- A wig (no shit sherlock!)
- Cutting scissors (SHARP ONES!!)
- Thinning scissors (or hairdresser knife)
- Different hair styling products ( LOTS OF HAIRSPRAY!!)
- Some water to spray
- A wighead
(-Glue for the spiking)

At first, attach the wig to the wighead.



Photo is a little blurry because Momo still has some problems with close up photos when using my camera... WELL WHATEVER.

So, next step is to turn the wig around and spray some water on it but only if you want it to be spiky




Then, use the sharp scissors to style the wig and to remove the additional parts

After doing that use the thinning scissors to break up the hard lines.




Next, use hairspray and stuff.

Oh god, we have been SO busy!

Anyway, we have been working a lot and we are going to update soon:
-Wig styling for Haine
-Perfect skin for cosplayers
-Little something about how to succeed with Akatsuki-cloak (not tutorial since it's ready but some patterns and stuff)
-Operation Suigetsu coming soon! (I'll start making it after 10.4.2011)
-AND as soon as Poke is willing to get a new wig for her Sasuke outfit, we are going to post a tutorial of styling it (inc. spiking!)
-Cosplay shooting (very important!) Poke is going to do it since she is THE photographer;D
